    Multinational troops arrest suspected Boko Haram logistic supplier in Borno

    Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have arrested a suspected Boko Haram logistics supplier, Garba Buda, in Borno State.

    The 30-year-old has been on the MNJTF’s wanted list for supplying logistics to the terrorists.

    The Chief Military Information Officer at the MNJTF Headquarters in N’Djamena, Chad, Lt. Col. Olaniyi Osoba, said in a statement on Friday that the suspect was intercepted in Monguno town following a coordinated intelligence operation.

    He listed Items recovered from the suspect to include a lighter, pocket mirror, comb, cap, and wristwatch.

    “The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing detailed investigation,” the spokesman said.

    Osoba also revealed that the troops in a separate operation raided a Boko Haram hideout in Kukawa local government area of Borno State.

    He added: “The terrorists fled the area upon the troops and abandoned their logistics, which were subsequently destroyed.”
