The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a former Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, for alleged N9.3 billion fraud, TheCable reports.

Sources told the news platform on Friday that the ex-governor has been detained by the anti-graft agency in Abuja.

Ishaku will be arraigned alongside a former permanent secretary of the bureau for local government and chieftaincy affairs in the state, Bello Yero, on a 15-count charge of criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of state funds at the Federal High Court, Abuja, in the coming days.

The commission filed the charges on Thursday.
