Enzo Zidane, the eldest son of football icon Zinedine Zidane, has retired from professional football at 29.

According to reports from AS, Enzo made the decision to step away from the sport after struggling to find his place in the football world and spending a season without a club.

His last team was Fuenlabrada, marking the final chapter of a career that started with high expectations, especially given his father’s legacy in Bordeaux.

Enzo, like his younger brothers, aspired to follow in his father’s footsteps and joined Real Madrid’s youth academy.

He made a strong impression in the youth and Real Madrid C teams, eventually progressing to the reserve team, where he had two successful seasons.

In November 2016, his father, then manager of Real Madrid, gave him a chance to play for the first team in a Copa del Rey match against Cultural Leonesa at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Enzo scored a memorable goal.

He left Real Madrid soon after that experience and had had spells at Alaves, Lausanne Sports in New Zealand, Raya Majadahonda in Spain, Desportivo Aves, Almeria, Rodez, and finnally Fuenlabrada.

Recently, Romeo Beckham, the son of England legend David Beckham, also announced his retirement from football at just 22 to go into fashion.
