Military personnel from the 3 Battalion Nigerian Army Barracks in Effurun, Delta State, have arrested more than 100 youths suspected of internet fraud during a raid on a facility known as HK “Hustle Kingdom.” This location is believed to be a training center for cybercriminals.

The Army Estate, where the raid took place, is a residential area primarily for retired military officers and civilians. The operation followed intelligence reports revealing the existence of the HK (Yahoo training) school within the estate.

Sources indicate that after months of surveillance on the activities of the individuals involved, armed soldiers conducted the raid early Saturday morning, rounding up over 100 suspects. Reports also suggest that the alleged owner of the school and his accomplices were apprehended during the operation. “The soldiers acted on intelligence reports,” one source confirmed.

Following the raid, military authorities at the 3 Battalion Barracks handed over the suspects to the police at Ekpan in Uvwie for prosecution after proper profiling.

When reached for comment, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe confirmed the arrests but did not provide specific details about how the suspects were apprehended.
