Nigerian musician Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman popularly known as Oxlade has opened up about his previous belief in the existence of cabals within the music industry.

The ‘Kulosa’ crooner disclosed in a recent interview that he has always believed that cabals run the Nigerian music industry until he was told otherwise.

However, Oxlade said he no longer feels constrained by any perceived industry cabals as he once believed, after conversing with a friend.

The musician also said that he feels empowered and unaffected by the idea of cabals, adding that he has reached a point in his career where even people he once considered a part of these influential circles now want to be associated with him.

He said; “I used to believe they existed until I heard something somewhere that it is what you agree to that will actually happen so I don’t feel like I’m affected by any cabal anymore, I feel like I’m at a stage where cabals even want to roll with me.”
