Nigerian street hop singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known in music circles as Portable has explained why he slapped a Pastor who came to his bar to preach.

Recall that the controversial musician was seen slapping a supposed preacher who had come to his bar to preach in video footage that is still making the rounds on the internet.

In the incident which has generated a lot of social media commentary, Portable aggressively confronted the pastor and accused him of driving away customers at his bar.

But, in a follow-up post explaining his actions toward the clergyman, Portable referred to the Pastor as “419”—a phrase frequently used in Nigeria to denote dishonesty or fraud.
