Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Wednesday attacked Magamar Jibia town in Jibia local government area of Katsina State and abducted three people.

Five people, including two soldiers, were also wounded in the attack.

A resident of the town told journalists on Thursday that the bandits stormed the border town with AK-47 rifles and other sophisticated weapons at about midnight and shot in different directions to scare the people.
