American businessman and co-founder of social media service Facebook has declared that Meta is on track to become the most used assistant in the world.

Zuckerberg made the comments on Wednesday during Meta Connect 2024 saying that Meta AI is one of the most used AI assistants across the world with “almost” 500 million monthly active users.

“We’re almost at 500 million monthly activities, and we haven’t even launched in some of the bigger countries yet,” Zuckerberg said at the event, pointing out that it hasn’t launched in the EU yet.

Llama 3.2, a new model family with enhanced multimodal features, was also unveiled by Meta. Additionally, Llama 3.2 1B and 3B lightweight models—which were not trained on user data from Europe—are being introduced by the corporation in the European market. 

The company also added the ability to generate photographs with suggestions using its “Imagine” tool, which is driven by generative AI, to Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
