    Troops Arrest 19 Suspects, Seize 260,000 Litres of Stolen Oil Products in Crackdown on Theft

    According to the Nigeria Army, troops have successfully removed more than 43 illicit oil bunkering hubs, detained 19 economic saboteurs, and seized more than 260,000 liters of stolen goods in the Niger Delta.

    The military also destroyed more than 11 cars, 21 boats, and 11 motorcycles that were utilized to steal crude oil in the area, according to a statement released on Sunday by Lieutenant Colonel Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, Acting Deputy Director, 6 Division Army Public Relations.

    The statement claims that in Rivers State, troops have seized more over 60,000 liters of illegally processed automotive gas oil (AGO) and demolished seven operational illicit refining hubs in the Abesa and Kula general areas of the Akuku-Toru Local Government Area (LGA).

    According to the report, the military also retrieved more than 41,000 liters of stolen goods and destroyed three fiber boats, five wooden boats, and multiple unlawful bunkering havens.

    According to the report, three local boats carrying more than 12,500 liters of stolen goods, eight sizable cooking pots, four operational illicit refining hubs, and enormous receivers and reservoirs were all destroyed in Buguma Creeks.

    The statement claims that multiple wooden boats carrying more than 10,000 liters of pilfered goods were stopped in the general regions of Odagwa, Akwa, Oza West, Oyigbo, Obozur, and Ayama.
