Step father, two others jailed over defilement of 12 year old female

On the 9th of September, 2024 at about 1100hrs, the above mentioned case was transferred from Ago Okota Police Division to Gender unit of the Lagos State Police command Ikeja.

The case was reported by one Ngozi ‘f ‘ aged on behalf of her niece by name ‘f’ aged 12yrs, against the following people;
1. Chibuzo Benjamin ‘m’ aged 43yrs
2. Sunday Akpan ‘m’ aged 51 years
3. Emmanuel Okechukwu ‘m’ aged 42 years of Canal View, Ago okota, Lagos.

The complainant alleged that the suspects had been having unlawful carnal knowledge of the survivor since August, 2024.

One of the alleged suspect whose name is Chibuzor Benjamin is the step father to the survivor while, the other two alleged suspects resides on the same street with the survivor’s Mother and step father.

The said Chibuzor Benjamin and Sunday Akpan confessed to the crime, while the third suspect name Emmanuel Okechukwu denied the allegation. The three suspects were arraigned in court for defilement 20/9/24.
