Man 70 arraigned in court for sexual defilement of 11 year old female survivor

On September 27, 2024 at about 1200hrs, a case of defilement was transferred from Iju Division to Gender Unit of Lagos State Police Command for discreet investigation.

The case was reported by the complainant on behalf of her daughter aged 11 against one Afolabi Michael ‘m’ aged 70. The complainant alleged that sometimes in July, 2024 when school was on vacation and subsequent resumption; The survivor was defiled by the suspect.

She stated further that the suspect had sexual intercourse with the survivor multiple times. The suspect was interrogated in English Language where he confessed that he romanced the survivor; Though, he denied having sexual intercourse with her claiming that he has been suffering from weak erection for many years now.

However, the suspect has been arraigned in court for defilement on October 10, 2024 and has been remanded.
