As previously stated by the prosecution, Insp. Ibrahim Gokwat, the complainant, Umar Adamu, reported the crime to the Laranto Police station on August 23.

Gokwat claimed that the complainant’s mother was visited by the convicted felon and his gang at large, who took her phone and a bag of the Holy Quran and threatened her with a knife while telling her not to yell.

While the police were investigating, the prisoner was taken into custody and taken to the station.

The offense violated the Plateau State Penal Code Law, he claimed.
